The Canadian International Development Agency is a federal government agency formed in 1968. CIDA’s mandate is to reduce poverty, promote human rights, and support sustainable development. Over the years, Impact First has received funding from CIDA towards the majority of our projects. This has meant that for every one dollar Impact First has contributed to these projects, CIDA has contributed three.
Canadian Auto Workers Union
The largest private sector union in Canada, CAW is actively involved in many workplace, economic, and social justice issues. The Canadian Auto Workers Union is a strong supporter of Canadian and international not-for-profit and humanitarian projects. With its Social Justice Fund - contributed from the salary of its union members - CAW provides assistance to organizations committed to the fight for economic and social equality around the world.
